An anonymous benefactor has been generously spreading his wealth across Leicestershire.

Mary Whitehead from Syston, was touched by his kind act while she was shopping in her local supermarket.

The seventy two year-old pensioner told 成人论坛 Leicester's Eleanor Garnier about how the stranger came up to her and handed her a twenty pound note.

Mary Whitehead is the latest person to reveal she's met the man in Leicester.

Mary uses a wheel chair and is convinced the gentleman she met on the Sunday before Christmas was the same person who handed an envelope with twenty pounds in it to a mother and son who were waiting at a bus stop earlier this month.

She talks to 成人论坛 Leicester's Eleanor Garnier about her extraordinary experience.

She describes the moment it happened:

"I was more shocked than anything but he was very adamant that I should take it.

"All of a sudden he grabbed my hand and he clenched it into a fist and he said I hope you won't be offended but I hope you will accept this and promise me you won't spend it on your grandchildren."

"He was nicely dressed but he wasn't overdressed. His wife said he does things like this you'll have to take it."

At first Mary refused to take the money but after the couple insisted she accepted his kind act and did exactly as she was told.

She says: "I spent it on a bottle of perfume for myself."

Our reporter also spoke to people in Leicester to find out what they thought of this generous act.

There was mixed opinion in the city. Some people said it seemed too good to be true, while others thought it was nice that there were some kind hearted people in the city.

As one shopper put it: "It takes some believing that does, but it's nice."

Mary adds that she will be eternally grateful to the couple:

She says: "To the kind gentlemen who gave me this little gift at Christmas I would like to say thank you very much.

"Every time I put my perfume on I think of you and your wife.
