Who are The Weekend Schemers?

The Weekend Schemers are a band based in Leicester. Our genre is Indie Rock Alternative. The band consists of two Guitarists (Conor and James), a Bass player (Joe) and a Drummer (Harry)

Where are you based?

Leicester.

How did you get together?

Conor found James on the internet and met up for a jam. Harry who was best mates with Conor came along and we started from there.

We then we found Joe whilst asking around a few local bands to see if they new any local bass players.

Who or what are your greatest influences?

Joe and Harry love the Arctic Monkeys, Conor loves the Killers and Pink Floyd and James' biggest influence is Mcfly.

What do you do when you're not making music?

Promote the band and look for gigs!

What do you make of the music scene in Leicestershire and Rutland?

We love it!

It's great and we get to make friends with other local bands!

Who are your favourite local bands at the moment and why?

Joe loves The Heroes and The Kicks ! We met The Kicks on our 1st gig, they're great, they are like a brother band to us!

Where have you toured? Do you have any albums out?

We have only toured around Leicester at the moment, and we plan to release an album at the end of the summer. We would like to release a single but don't know how!

Best gig so far?

Probably our 1st gig at the Pavilion! We had loads of fans there who were great!

If you could change one thing about Leicestershire what would it be?

More promoters and places to gig!

What's been your most embarrassing music themed moment?

Forgetting the words on stage!

What's the best line you've ever written?

We're just another light you've shined...

Who's your biggest fan?

Cieran Nixon at the moment!

Red Leicester cheese or Melton Mowbray pork pie?

James's favourite is pork pie because he is the fat one in the band!
