成人论坛 World Questions comes to Lisbon

On 14 January, 成人论坛 World Questions comes to Lisbon to bring together leading politicians and the public to discuss the issues that matter to Portuguese people - education and public health, the environment, housing, tourism and how best to grow the economy.

Chairing the debate at the CCB Cultural Centre in Lisbon, the 成人论坛’s Manuela Saragosa will be joined by a panel of leading politicians and opinion formers who will be debating questions from the audience. The panel will include:

  • Pedro Siza Vieira, Minister of State for the Economy and the Digital Transition, Socialist Party (PS)
  • Miguel Pinto Luz, Deputy Mayor of Cascais, Social Democratic Party (PSD)
  • António Costa Pinto, Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon
  • Catarina Carvalho, Journalist and Executive Editor in Chief, Diário de Notícias

Stephen Titherington, Senior Commissioning Editor, 成人论坛 World Service English, says: “We take our flagship debate programme to countries around the globe to hear what the world is talking about. The 成人论坛 World Service is holding a series of debates across the world. 成人论坛 World Questions allows the public to question politicians, leaders and opinion formers face to face. The conversation is led entirely by questions from the audience, who are able to have their points heard around the world.

成人论坛 World Questions: Lisbon is an English language event created in partnership with the British Council and will be recorded for radio broadcast worldwide. It will be recorded in English on Tuesday 14 January at the CCB Cultural Centre in Lisbon.

成人论坛 World Questions: Lisbon will air on 成人论坛 World Service English on Saturday 18 January at 1900-2000, and Sunday 20 January at 1200-1300, and available online after that at www.bbc.com/worldserviceradio.
