Mary Anne Hobbs
As part of her annual Art Is Everywhere special, broadcast at the time of the Turner Prize, today’s show features contributions from fashion designer, DJ and musician Virgil Abloh, sculptor and installation artist David Mach RA, and spoken word artist and musician Kate Tempest.
And Mary Anne will be encouraging listeners to create their own radio-inspired masterpieces during the show, upload it to the 6 Music website and share it at #6MusicArt - and their piece might be selected to appear in the show’s online gallery.
Art Is Everywhere is broadcast at the time of the 2018 Turner Prize, which is a touchstone for lovers of art, and also a prize synonymous with the progression of ideas, and pushing the boundaries of art forms.
