Hundreds of cannabis plants found in Donegal raid

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of more than €630,000 (£538,000) have been seized by police in the Republic of Ireland.
The haul was discovered in what An Garda Síochána (Irish police) said was “a large scale grow house” in Donegal town on Wednesday.
The 500 plants and 13.5kg of cultivated cannabis were seized during searches of an industrial premises, a gardaí spokesperson said.
No arrests have been made.
Gardaí said the searches were carried out by the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit and local officers and is part of Operation Tara, an initiative aimed at disrupting the drugs trade in the Republic of Ireland
The drugs, estimated to be worth €631,500, will be tested by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
