A man in his 60s has died following a single-vehicle crash in County Donegal.

It happened at about 15:30 local time on Tuesday on the Shore Road at Kerrykeel.

A garda (Irish police) spokesperson said the man was fatally injured when the car he was driving was involved in a single-vehicle collision.

The local coroner has been notified and arrangements are being made for a post-mortem, the spokesperson added.

The Shore Road is closed and forensic officers are due to complete a technical examination on Wednesday.

Gardaí have asked witnesses, particularly anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward.
