The number of people working part-time or casual hours in Guernsey has increased by almost 30% since the last quarter, according to the States' latest unemployment figures.
The number of people in part-time or casual employment increased from 54 in August to 69 in September and 74% (51) of them were female.
There were 291 reported jobseekers in September 2023 which went down by 50 people to 241 over the year to September 2024.
The States has been contacted for comment on the figures.
The data showed the number of job advertisements increased over the past year, with the job centre posting 308 adverts in September on its website compared to 297 last year.
Thirty-two people have also been put on training schemes like Work for Benefit, Kickstart and other third sector placements.
There has also been a decrease in people claiming unemployment on the island, with almost half the claims in September as in August, according to the figures.
