Town's Eid festival will be 'special' - organisers
A town's Eid celebration is to take place with an "exciting" range of musical performances, organisers said.
Northampton Eid Festival will be held at Becket's Park on Sunday to mark the important dates in the Islamic calendar.
Stage acts include Bhangra drummers, the Polish Performing Group and a Turkish folk band.
Jamal Alwahabi, chair of the Northampton Eid Management Group, said he hoped the wider community would "join us and enjoy this special day".
Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which this year was in April, and Eid ul-Adha, which begins on 16 June.
The festival is held annually to mark both and organisers said they wanted all communities to come together.
The event takes place from 12:00 to 16:00 BST.
