A man has been arrested after suspected Class B drugs worth an estimated 拢150,000 were seized in Belfast, police have said.
A vehicle in Dargan Road was stopped on Friday and during a search officers uncovered the drugs concealed within food products.
A 69-year-old man is currently in custody in Musgrave Police Station and is being interviewed in relation to drug supply offences.
The arrest is a 鈥渞esult of the collective efforts of a variety of teams within the Police Service of Northern Ireland鈥, said Det Insp Kelly.
鈥淲e are committed to tackling the activities of individuals involved with organised criminal gangs,鈥 Det Insp Kelly continued.
鈥淧eople should be aware if they undertake such criminal activities, they can expect to be arrested and dealt with in a robust manner."
Det Insp Kelly said he had "no doubt these drugs would have made their way into the the hands of criminals".
鈥淭he supply of such drugs only fuels other criminality and organised criminal gangs attempts to exert control over the community they live within.鈥
