Train delays as herd of cows wanders on to railway line

Trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow were delayed after a herd of cows wandered on to the railway line.
Network Rail said response teams had been sent to deal with the 12 animals on the line near Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire.
The operator posted on X, formerly Twitter, apologising to passengers for the disruption.
It confirmed the herd had left the area about 11:00.
Network Rail Scotland added: "We’ve no further beef with the cows at Lenzie, they’ve been safely re-mooved.
"Thanks for your patience if you’ve been delayed, we know it’s not a-moo-sing if you’ve places to be. We’re working to get ScotRail’s trains back on time."
