Train delays as herd of cows wanders on to railway line
Trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow were delayed after a herd of cows wandered on to the railway line.
Network Rail said response teams had been sent to deal with the 12 animals on the line near Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire.
The operator posted on X, formerly Twitter, apologising to passengers for the disruption.
It confirmed the herd had left the area about 11:00.
Network Rail Scotland added: "We鈥檝e no further beef with the cows at Lenzie, they鈥檝e been safely re-mooved.
"Thanks for your patience if you鈥檝e been delayed, we know it鈥檚 not a-moo-sing if you鈥檝e places to be. We鈥檙e working to get ScotRail鈥檚 trains back on time."
