Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash on the B3315 near St Buryan

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a collision with a camper van in Cornwall, police have said.

The incident happened at Treen, on the B3315 near St Buryan, at about 13:40 GMT on Sunday.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s from Penzance, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Derriford hospital by Air Ambulance, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Investigating officers thanked members of the public who stopped to help at the scene and appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

The road was closed for five hours to allow officers to carry out investigations.
