Woman dies after weekend car crash in Donegal

A women in her 80s has died following a two-car crash in County Donegal at the weekend.

The incident took place in the Inver area of the county at about 09:00 local time on Sunday.

The crash came just hours after another serious accident on the Inishowen Peninsula which claimed the lives of two young cousins.

The women has been named locally as Elizabeth Cave.

Garda铆 (Irish police) have said a man in his 50s has been charged and is due to appear before Letterkenny District Court on Thursday morning.
