Arrest after boy, 14, dies in South Normanton scooter crash
A teenage boy has died in a crash between a car and a scooter.
The 14-year-old was on a scooter that was in collision with a Ford Fusion car on Fordbridge Lane, South Normanton, just before 20:00 GMT on Sunday.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
The man is in custody and will be questioned later, Derbyshire police said.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police.
