Man dies after car crashes into tree near Tiverton

A 23-year-old man has died after a car crashed into a tree in Devon.

It happened at around 17:20 GMT near Tiverton on Saturday, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

A silver Volkswagen lost control on a bend and left the B3227 close to Blackerton Cross and East Anstey, hitting the tree, the force said.

The man, who was from the Minehead area, was with other people in the car but no other injuries have been reported.
