A man in his 40s died in a collision with a car on Tuesday, police have confirmed.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Teignmouth Road in Torquay on Tuesday at about 19:40 BST after a crash involving a Citroen C1 car and a motorbike.

The force said the bike rider, from Lancashire, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information.
