A man has died in a house fire in Salford.

The blaze broke out at a property in Berry Street, Clifton, just after midnight, police said.

The body of a man, who has not been named, was discovered inside the property by firefighters.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Greater Manchester Police are jointly investigating to establish what caused the fire, which police said is being treated as suspicious.
