Warrington pedestrian hit by unmarked police car dies

A pedestrian has died after being hit by an unmarked police car as he crossed a road.
The 80-year-old man died at the scene of the crash, which happened on Warrington Road in Penketh, Warrington, at 19:20 GMT on Monday.
The crash has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), Cheshire Police said.
IOPC Regional Director Amanda Rowe said the car was not responding to an emergency call at the time.
The Cheshire force has asked anyone with information about the crash to get in touch.
