Five arrested in fatal Chelmsford stabbing
Five people have been arrested after a man was stabbed to death at a house.
Police were called to reports of a fight at a house in East Hanningfield Road, in Rettendon Common, Chelmsford, just before midnight on Saturday.
The 19-year-old man was found with stab wounds. He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Five men, aged between 21 and 49, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. Officers are still searching the area.
Essex Police said: "We would like to offer reassurance that violent crime of this nature in Chelmsford is rare and there is no current risk to the public."
