Billingham: 15-year-old driver tracked down by police dog
A 15-year-old has been arrested for driving offences after a police dog caught him hiding in a park.
A car was spotted being driven dangerously on Tuesday night before being abandoned on the A19, near to Billingham Beck Country Park.
The occupants fled the scene but Cleveland Police released PD - police dog - Kira to try and find them, with the help of a drone.
The boy, who police believe was the driver, was taken into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, burglary, possession with intent to supply and several other driving offences.
Drugs - believed to be cannabis - belonging to one of the occupants, was also found by the dog.
The car was later found to have been stolen.
Two other males, aged 15 and 18, were later arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody.
