Colleen McMurray: Man released in inquiry into murder of RUC officer
A 59-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the murder of an RUC officer has been released unconditionally.
Colleen McMurray, who was 34, was killed in an IRA mortar attack in Newry, County Down, in 1992.
Another RUC officer also lost his legs in the attack.
The man was arrested under the Terrorism Act at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday. Police have said the investigation continues.
Constable McMurray was the passenger in a police car which was hit by a mortar bomb as it travelled along Merchants Quay in Newry.
No one has ever been convicted of her murder.
