A 16-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Grange Road in Rhyl, Denbighshire, shortly before 08:30 BST on Thursday, North Wales Police said.

A Citroen DS3 had collided with the boy, who was on foot, the force said.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said the boy was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire.
