Newport: Cyclist dies in hospital after Boxing Day crash

A 51-year-old cyclist has died after being struck by a car on Boxing Day.
Gwent Police said a Mini Cooper and a push bike crashed at about 17:20 GMT between Newport and Marshfield, near the junction with Pound Hill.
The man who was from Cardiff was taken to hospital but later died.
Police arrested a 74-year-old woman, from Cardiff, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and she remains in custody for questioning.
Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage of the incident.
