Coleg Gwent lecturer stuck off for sexual harassment
A construction lecturer who pushed a teacher against a desk and pretended to have sex with her has been struck off indefinitely.
A disciplinary panel found Jeffrey McMail's conduct at Coleg Gwent in Newport was "unacceptable".
The 50-year-old harassed his colleague by making sexual comments about her in the staff room.
One allegation of unacceptable professional conduct was found proved at a hearing in Cardiff on Thursday.
The father-of-two was indefinitely removed from the register of education practitioners and will not be able to appeal for three years.
In April 2015, while in the classroom, he grabbed the woman by the arms, pushed her against a desk and simulated a sexual act, the Education Workforce Council found.
He also harassed the woman - referred to as Colleague A to protect her identity - by making sexual comments about her in front of colleagues in the staff room.
The panel found Mr McMail's actions amounted to "bullying" or "sexual harassment".
