Your pictures: Dry

Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme is dry, and we start with a picture from Sean Anderson of dishes drying.

Donald John MacAllister: "This was taken near Cranfield University on a Sunday afternoon walk. It has been so dry recently the topsoil has begun to crack."

Slackchith Rasprasith: "Drying our clothes along the corridor of a typical Singapore flat."

Yugandhar Karna: "This picture was taken on a hike into the Sahara desert near the Aswan cataracts. It quickly gets very hot and dry even a hundred metres away from the river."

Clementine Geeves: "I found this snake skin in a tree which had dried in the sun."

Trudie Davidson: "Looking at this photo always makes my mouth feel dry - just that one drop left..."

Mina W. Wardakhan: "Sandboarding in the Great Sand Sea dunes, close to the Siwa Oasis, Egypt."
