If you've ever wondered what it would be like to go to the Moon, but don't like the idea of years of tests and prep - good news has just landed.

A new immersive experience has launched in France which lets people feel, first-hand, what a lunar mission might be like.

The Lune Xplorer is based at the French space centre the Cit茅 de l'Espace, Toulouse.

Visitors to the centre can hop on a rocket simulator and board a capsule similar to that which will soon be used to take humans back to the Moon.

The capsule has been designed to be as realistic as possible, with space for four people at a time.

When the simulator starts it allows users to feel the pressure of acceleration that they would feel during an actual launch.

Real-life astronauts have tried the experience themselves and have given it their seal of approval.
