成人论坛 launches nationwide singles survery By 2020 it's estimated that 40 per cent of households will consist of one person. What sort of Britain will that be?

Will we become a nation of anxious unmarrieds or liberated singletons?

成人论坛 Norfolk, along with our colleagues across the country, is setting out to reflect single life in 2002.

We want you to tell us what being single means in our Going Solo survey.

How do you feel about being single? You may recoil at the very word. So often it鈥檚 portrayed negatively: you鈥檇 be forgiven for thinking that nobody would choose to be single.

But there are plenty of people who happily avoid the prospect of smug coupledom.

Britain Towards 2010, a survey two years ago, suggested that single people will be leading very different lives, and the divide between men and women鈥檚 lifestyles will be even more marked.

We鈥檒l find out if men and women really do react differently to being single after long relationships.

Do women cope better on their own? Do men really like their freedom when they get it?

We鈥檒l announce the results of the survey on Monday 14 October.
