The student-run
LGB groups in Norwich provide an active and lively alternative
to the local 'scene'.
They provide
a sensible forum for debate, coherent and realistic LGB campaigns,
a fun and diverse place to meet like-minded people, and overall
a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all regardless of their
sexuality.
Norwich
Student LGB is an umbrella group made up of Norwich's three
individual LGBs, the biggest of which is housed by the University
of East Anglia.
UEA LGB
has nearly 200 members, and a good male/female ratio.
City College
LGB looks set for a good year, with the election of their first
LGB officer, and plans for a big week of activities in the city.
There is
also a small but lively LGB Society at the Norwich School of
Art and Design where it contributes admirably to Norwich student
activities.
These individual
societies can be joined by students at their fresher's fayre,
or throughout the year via e-mail.
Norwich
Student LGB welcomes support from non-student members as well,
and urges everyone who believes in gay and lesbian equality
to join the cause.
