Question
1
How
did you feel on your first day as a Blue Peter presenter?
Bethanie, aged 10, of Co. Durham
Simon:
Although it seems a long time ago now, I remember feeling
very excited on my first day (I hardly slept the night before)
because it had taken me quite a few attempts to get the job.
I was also very nervous as this was the first time I had ever
had a presenting job on 'live' TV.

Question
2
Blue
Peter is famous for its summer holiday adventures. If one
summer the team were to come to Norfolk, which places would
you want them to visit?
Natasha,
of Great Yarmouth, age 13
Simon:
I'd like them to visit Cromer, because that's where I lived
'til I was 3, and my gran lived there also. I'd like them
to visit Norwich and see the castle and the Forum. I'd take
them to the Broads, to Blakeney to go and look for Sea Lions
and Seals, and finally I'd take them round to my house in
Trowse for a bit of dinner!

Question
3
Did
you find the commentating hard, and what was Roy Waller like?
Sam,
of Norwich, age 13
Simon:
Yes commentating was very hard. I'd never done it before at
a live game, and keeping up with the play was really difficult.
But Roy Waller is a really nice chap and he was great at giving
me lots of helpful advice, even when I got the Crewe goal
scorer wrong.

Question
4
If
you were stuck in a lift, which celebrity would you most want
to be with?
Claire, aged 9, of Bath
Simon:
The celebrity I would most like to be stuck in a lift
with is Alistair McGowan (impressionist). I'd ask him to keep
me amused with loads of impressions while we waited for the
lift to be fixed!

The
famous Blue Peter badge.

Question
5
What was your toughest challenge on Blue Peter and why?
Matthew,
of Devon, aged 11
Simon:
My toughest challenge so far on Blue Peter has been learning
how to escape from a submarine. Although
it was in a simulator, the dangers were the same, and if I
had got it wrong I could have done myself a very serious injury
or worse. It was very nerve-wracking and a massive challenge.
