Set in extensive woodland, parks and
playing fields, the 330-acre University Park Campus is the focus of
life for more than 26,000 students. As one of the largest and most
attractive campuses in the UK, University Park features contemporary
teaching facilities, 12 halls of residence, a conference and exhibition
centre, and an award-winning main library.
Recent developments include accommodation for married students, a
new swimming pool, a day nursery and a 拢5 million Arts Centre, offering
a varied programme of concerts and exhibitions for students and the
wider community.
The hub of student life is the Portland Building, housing the Students'
Union, the International Students' Bureau and numerous shops, bars
and restaurants.
All this is just a short bus or bike ride from the city centre. |
