Good Morning

Where did you grow up?
I was born in Chilwell at the time of 1970 attending Sunnyside primary before moving on to Bramcote Hills Comp.

With my extended multicultural family, we moved to Radford/Aspley/and finally Whitemoor. Mum and dad emigrated back to Jamaica in 1988. [more...]

What were your early jobs?
At 16 I left the family nest and moved to St An. I was a chef at Ben Bowers/Royal Hotel/Edwalton Hall Hotel and the Golf course. After graduating with my City and Guilds, I quit chefing and donned a suit and tie.

I worked on the restoration of the Victoria Centre Flats (It was definitely not my decision on the colours) but id guess that in 1994, everyone in the apartment block all 1500 of them knew me. (I don't know if that's a good thing or not). [more...]

Why did you leave Nottingham in the first place?
I left on a gap year in 1995, heading for New Zealand,Australia and never came back. [more...]

During my time in Australia, I was caught in the Telecommunications deregulation, I worked for a few well know Multinational telecoms companies as a various sorts of Account executives. The boom is continuing down under, although I met my other half Tomoko Aihara and moved to Tokyo.

When you speak to people about Nottingham what is their general perception?
They know Nottingham for two reasons - Robin Hood and Nottingham Forest. [more...]

What do you do now?

I work as a Channel Account Manager, for an up and coming Tier 2 Carrier Saiki -Tech Communications Japan Co Ltd.

We are heading for an IPO which is a listing on the local stock markets. We often are involved in all types of high level negotiations with all of Japans telecommunications consortiums.
