Where is your band based?

Split between Nottingham and Birmingham

How did the band get together?

Myself (Nove), and Dan (vocals) had a drunken conversation at New Year to start a band. Although we were mates at school, we hadn't seen each other for years. It all grew from random meetings and friends of friends, but it has worked a treat... so far!

We sound a bit like...

We have been compared to Bloc Party and The Pigeon Detectives. I would prefer The Cribs, but then there you go. I think spiky, danceable indie sums us up.

Who are your influences?

British indie music mostly, but we all have loads of varied stuff in our record collections.

Who would be your dream band member, and why?

Although he doesn't suit our music, Stevie Wonder. The most awesome musician... and there is room for keys in the band. Trouble is he couldn't take his turn driving so I suppose we'll just stick with the four of us.

Who are the most influential figures in your lives?

Nelson Mandela, Ghandi, and er... Rory Bremner.

What would you give up to get signed?

Leaving our high flying jobs would be the easy part. Playing in a signed band is a dream you would have to take a chance on (best not to show this to my boss).

What was your best gig, and why?

It's a toss up between The Maze in Nottingham, and The Barfly in Birmingham. Both for the same reasons; cool venues (hot and sweaty in reality), quality crowds that got into the music, and us on top form.

Best band in Nottingham, and why?

Captain Dangerous stand out... Quality tunes, a great live show, top guys, and the sharing of Stella always helps.

Does Nottingham offer you enough opportunities?

There could always be more venues offering original music from unsigned bands. We have played some of our best gigs here, and there are plenty of promoters knocking around if you do the work finding and befriending them!

What are you listening to at the moment?

The Cribs. Their new album is quality.

In a fire, which album would you rescue?

I would save BloodSugarSexMagic by the Chillies (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

What's the perfect night out in Nottingham?

A few beers somewhere then to bars in Hockley, and end up in the Rescue Rooms or Stealth with good tunes. A kebab on the way home and then falling asleep on your stairs, that's a good night.
