For every Christmas tree that is recycled in Nottinghamshire this year, a tree is to be planted in Sherwood Forest.

Dedications

If you recycle your fir, spruce or pine you can also dedicate one of the young oaks to someone or something special.

Take your tree to the nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre and pick up a voucher.

This voucher entitles you to dedicate an oak in a commemorative book that will be kept at the Sherwood Forest visitors' centre.

The saplings being planted come from acorns dropped by the Major Oak.
