Jubilee
Bank Holiday Monday, June 3rd, is party day throughout the UK, and
at the heart of the celebrations will be , bringing the music to the party with an extensive
programme of hundreds of free festivals, concerts and events, to which
everyone is invited.
Nottinghamshire's
no exception with plenty going on in the county.
Nottingham will
be a key host with a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Music Live Stage in Market Square.
Nottingham
City Council has linked up with ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Nottingham and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Music
Live to bring hours of musical entertainment to Market Square on
Saturday 1st, Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd June.

Saturday
1st June
Bands include Dave Kaye and the Dykons, Fabulous Beat Men, Tennason,
Stoned Soul Picnic and Bad Axe.
Sunday 2nd
June
There's the chance to come and see Fredi Kofi, Bhangra, the Earl
Jackson Bands and T and LaTouche.
Monday 3rd
June
It's Music Live Day and a musical look back at the past five decades.
Time travelling
bands include Manouka (‘80s music) Sons and Lovers (‘60s), Vince
Eager (‘50s), The Avengers (‘60/’70s) and right up to date with
last year’s Student Band of the Year, Skinny Sumo.
Over the weekend
the cream of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Nottingham's presenters will be on
stage.
On Saturday
Mick Smith will be doing the final hour of his Saturday morning
show from Old Market Square before hosting the Music Live stage
through the afternoon.
In the evening
³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Nottingham will be broadcasting the classical concert
from Buckingham Palace in stereo, starting at 8pm.
Sunday
sees Andrew David commentating on the city of Nottingham's tribute
to HM the Queen at 12 noon.
During the afternoon
Mick Smith will be with the Music Live stage show in Old Market
Square.
On the big day
itself, Monday 3rd, Sarah Julian will be out in the radio
car throughout the day reflecting how Nottinghamshire is celebrating
the Jubilee.
We'll be dropping
in to the Music live event in Old Market Square and between 2 and
6pm Brian Tansley will be broadcasting the fifty favourite songs
from the past fifty years chosen by Radio Nottingham listeners and
users of this website.

will be broadcasting Buckingham Palace's Pop Concert live between
7pm and 10.30.
