Set in Nottingham,
'Paradise Heights' has started it's run on 成人论坛 One, but how did
it make our city look?
The programme
set itself up nicely, and it looks like it will hold people's interest
to the last episode, but what kind of picture does it paint of Nottingham?
The drama follows
the relationship between three brothers played by Charles Dale,
Neil Morrisey and Ralf Little.
The eldest brother Clive (Dale) is trying to expand the family business,
but in the process manages to step on the toes of the local big-shot
Jack Edwards.
But why was
Nottingham chosen as Paradise Heights' location?

Ashley
Pharoah, the programme's writer says;
"We chose Nottingham
because we wanted somewhere that had a post-industrial culture where
people were having to reinvent themselves.
Nottingham
was perfect, it鈥檚 a fascinating city with a long history and the
people there have a lot of pride in their city. Also, part of what
the brothers do is haulage so it made sense to put them in the Midlands."
Speaking
on Radio Nottingham Ralf Little was asked what the programme says
about Nottingham, jokingly Ralf replied, "That it's full of
gangsters and dodgy deals."
Is what
Ralf says true? What will people think about Nottingham after seeing
Paradise Heights? Is it favourable or does it paint the city in
a grimey and depressing light? What
do you think?
