| How
is your country preparing for the World Cup? |
| I think quite well. Government
in collaboration with Football Association of Slovenia and Slovene Tourist Board.
Is working on press center, programming promotional materials, events, preparing
shirts, caps, flags for Slovene football fans, etc. Many fans have sold their
cars and other valuable objects just to be able to fly to Korea and Japan to support
their heroes. Fans are, not counting our players, THE pride of the country since
Euro 2000. On Euro 2000 they have become a shining example to other fan groups.
Everybody in Slovenia have great expectations. Of course there are sceptics and
cynics, but they are in minority. Majority is optimistic. Our WORLD is IN MOTION
everything is moving toward Korea. 'SLOVENIJA GRE NAPREJ' ? SLOVENIA MOVES ON. |

do you think Slovenia will do in the World Cup? |
| They will definitively
win the World Cup 2002. |
| Who's
your best player and why? |
| I think Zlatko Zahovic
stays the most popular, paid and also the best (MVP) player on our side. That's
what I think. |
| What
do you think to the England side? |
| They are one of the greatest
teams in the world (long European football tradition). I hope that Beckham's foot
will be ready, so he will be ready to confront Aleksander Knavs when Slovenia
and England will meet each other in finals. |
| Where will you be watching
the matches? |
| I
am one of those contemporary space traveller. They mostly use REMOTE CONTROLS
and INTERNET but I do expect that until WC 2002 TELEPORTING will be widely accessible. |
