Showcase, hosted by 成人论坛 Worldwide, the main commercial arm of the
成人论坛 will unveil 1500 hours of new 成人论坛 programming from across Drama,
Science, Entertainment, Comedy and Children's to the world's TV programme
buyers at the Brighton Conference centre (24th - 27th February 2002).

Showcase continues to be the world's largest television programme
market hosted by a single broadcaster. Deals initiated at the market
generate an estimated 拢40 million annually for 成人论坛 Worldwide.

than 400 international TV programme buyers will also be able to
experience the future of television, as 成人论坛 Worldwide unveils its
range of groundbreaking interactive TV services for digital platforms.
Buyers will see demonstrations of Top of the Pops Interactive, 成人论坛
News Interactive and the BAFTA award-winning Walking with Beasts
Interactive and
Games, including Tweenies and Bill and Ben.
Heading
the documentary programme line-up is Sahara (6 x 50'), the new and
much anticipated series from Michael Palin. Sahara sees Palin facing
one of the world's greatest challenges - crossing the world's largest
desert. Previous Palin adventures, including Michael Palin's Hemingway
Adventure, Pole to Pole and Around the World in Eighty Days have
been seen across the globe in over 50 countries.
The
Queen's Golden Jubilee Concerts will also be highlighted at 成人论坛
Showcase. 成人论坛 Worldwide is marketing the concerts to mark Her Majesty
The Queen's Golden Jubilee. A Classical concert will be held on
Saturday June 1st, and a Rock and Pop concert on Monday 3rd June,
both in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. It is anticipated that
America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Africa, Germany,
France and Scandinavia will be the first to sign up for the concerts.
Included
in the drama line-up is Spooks (6 x 50'), which takes the viewer
into the thrilling world of MI5, espionage, drug traffickers and
anarchists. And from the producers of Cold Feet comes Rescue Me
(6 x 50'). Starring Sally Philips and Vincent Regan this comedy
drama is set in the offices of "Eden" magazine.
Children's
programming includes Ace Lightning (6 x 25'), a groundbreaking pre-teen
action comedy that combines live action and CGI animation. Also
Stig of the Dump (6 x 25 or 1 x 103') is an adaptation of the classic
story that has charmed children since its first publication in 1963.
Having
it Off (6 x 30') is a no-holds-barred sitcom written and starring
Anthony Cotton (Absolutely Fabulous, Queer as Folk) as Guy La Trousse,
a quick-witted, short-tempered hairdresser's manager whose dream
is to become a television personality.
Leading
the History offering this year is Battle of the Atlantic (3 x 50'),
a documentary series charting the perils of 1942 when the Allies
appeared to be on the brink of defeat.
Science
includes The Weather (4 x 50'). Using breathtaking filming techniques
and stunning CGI The Weather takes viewers into the elements, be
it unimaginable winds, the floods of pre-history or the eye of the
storm.
Representing
Natural History, from the team that created Supernatural comes Weird
Nature (3 x 50'), a celebration of the inventiveness and ingenuity
of the animal kingdom.
