10.10.03 Little
Robots build new worlds in Europe and South Africa
Pre-school
children in Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Russia
and South Africa are set to meet the Little Robots, following further
major programme licensing agreements with broadcasters in the territories
by 成人论坛 Worldwide, the consumer commercial arm of the 成人论坛.
The
series, about a band of pioneering little robots, was earlier this
year licensed to Germany (ZDF and KiKa), Canada (TVOntario, SCN
and The Knowledge Network) and Norway (NRK). Following this success,
Little Robots will now air on the following channels: YLE in Finland,
TV2 in Denmark, RUV in Iceland, RA13 in Italy, RTP Portugal, MEBC
in Malta, RTR Kultura in Russia and SABC in South Africa.
Mark
Young, Managing Director, EMEIA & CEO 成人论坛 Worldwide Americas
says: "Following the success of Little Robots with pre-school
children in the UK, we are excited that viewers in Europe and South
Africa are now able to explore this inspiring and innovative series."
Vanessa
Chapman, Global Controller of Create TV and Film, says, "We
are delighted with the way Little Robots is making its mark. This
year and 2004 are key to the IP, and 成人论坛 Worldwide is doing a great
job. It's very satisfying to know that millions of children all
over the world will soon be interacting and having fun with the
Little Robots and their fun and colourful adventures."
Finding
themselves abandoned on a metal scrapheap, the Little Robots use
their combined skills, vision and imagination to turn the nuts,
bolts and junk around them into a place they can call home.
In the UK version of Little Robots, actors Lenny Henry, Martin Clunes,
Emma Chambers, Mel and Sue, Morwenna Banks and Su Pollard lend their
voices to this lively animation. The stop-frame animation series,
with special CGI effects, is produced by award-winning Cosgrove
Hall Films for Create TV and Film Limited and the exclusive distribution
rights are with 成人论坛 Worldwide.
