Top Gear Turbo magazine revs back into action
³ÉÈËÂÛ̳
Magazines has followed up on the success of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Top Gear Turbo by
publishing another special issue for car mad boys aged 10-14 years
old.
Ìý
The
new issue hits the newsstands on October 15th in time for the autumn
half term. Retaining the price of £1.95, the title will again
provide boys with their very own motoring magazine. Inevitably the
content focuses on cars that get pulses racing with both supercars
and more affordable performance motors featuring heavily. There
is also significant content from behind the scenes at the hugely
successful Top Gear TV programme and plenty of activities such as
a crossword, quiz and several competitions.
The
magazine comes with a free covermounted sticker-sheet and two mega
sized posters of the Ford GT40 and McLaren-Mercedes SLR sports cars.
³ÉÈËÂÛ̳
Top Gear Turbo was sparked off by research that proved significant
numbers of young readers existed who currently buy an adult car
magazine, simply because there is no alternative. Since the first
issueÂ’s May 23rd on sale date, the magazine has generated a
huge interest from both the motor industry and rival publishers.
Says
Publisher Adam Waddell: “The Top Gear TV show has proved to
be very popular ‘lads and dads’ programming and since
we already produce an adult motoring magazine it made obvious sense
to create a product for younger fans of Top Gear. And our audience
grasped the concept of TG Turbo pretty quickly giving us the confidence
to commit to future issues of what was originally a ‘one-shot’
title. Judging from sales of issue 1 and the emails that weÂ’ve
received from readers I reckon weÂ’ve struck a chord with an
interesting new audienceÂ’
It
is intended that further issues of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Top Gear Turbo will be published
in the future.
