³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Americas today announced its largest ever sale of content to Paraguay, at ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Showcase Latin America.

Telefuturo, one of Paraguay's leading broadcasters, and new channel Hispanoamerica TV del Paraguay have acquired a combined total of 100 hours of programming from ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide's natural history, children's, history and factual entertainment genres.

Telefuturo bought natural history titles Killing for a Living (a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wildvision production in association with the Discovery Channel), which is narrated by Oscar® winning actor Anthony Hopkins, and landmark epic Planet Earth (a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳/Discovery Channel/NHK co-production, in association with the CBC).

Animated children's series Animalia, (a Burberry/Lux Monkey/Double Base production for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ in association with Porchlight Entertainment), which is based on award-winning books by Graeme Base, was also included in the deal.

Hispanoamerica TV Del Paraguay acquired titles such as the multi award-winning natural history title Blue Planet (a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳/Discovery Channel co-production), factual entertainment title The Private Life of a Masterpiece (a Fulmar Television & Film production for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳) and dramatized documentary series Ancient Rome – The Rise and Fall of an Empire (a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳/Discovery Channel/ZDF co-production).

The broadcaster also bought Days that Shook the World, a series of programs focussing on key events, which changed the course of global history.

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Showcase Latin America 2008 runs until Wednesday 10 September 2008 in Rio de Janeiro. It is the only event of its kind, hosted by a single distributor, in Latin America. ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide is Europe's biggest exporter of television programs.
