Morning & Night, Rain or Shine, Weekday or Weekend – catch up with the adventures in Opposite Town anytime!
Explore a world of opposites with Harry the Hare and Toto the Tortoise in the first DVD release from the fast and slow duo. Harry and Toto: Welcome to Opposite Town is released on 21st September 2009 and priced at £9.99 from ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Children's DVD.
Produced by Paul Shuttleworth of Handle and Spout Productions, Harry and Toto is an engaging animated series for pre-schoolers that has already seen top ratings on CBeebies both in the UK and internationally. Harry and Toto are two best friends living in Opposite Town and have very different approaches to life. Harry races about whilst Toto likes to kick back and take things slowly.
Different opposites are tackled in each episode – for every fast there's a slow, for every door that closes, another opens. Harry learns his lesson in 'Up & Down' when he is too impatient to wait for his turn, and in 'Land & Sea' Harry and Toto head off separately, only to realise that it's not where you go but who you're with that counts.
The DVD also includes extras that are sure to make you smile, including character profiles and songs.
Harry and Toto: Welcome to Opposite Town is available to buy from 21st September 2009 and contains the following 8 episodes:
Up & Down
It's the 'Festival of Flight' in Opposite Town and when Toto is picked first for a hot air balloon ride, Harry is very jealous. Too impatient to wait for his turn, he opts for an aeroplane ride instead. Only it's not just a ride – it’s a parachute jump!
Stand & Sit
Almost all of Opposite Town's residents are packed into the Opposite Town cinema to see the latest blockbuster movie starring Opposite Man – Harry's favourite superhero. To Harry's dismay, the only seats left for him and Toto to sit in are right at the back and they can't see the film. There's no use standing either – not when you're right behind a giraffe!
Summer & Winter
Phew, what a scorcher! The sun is blazing and Harry and Toto are finding it very hard to find something that will cool them down. Harry finds himself wishing it was winter as they find their attempts to cool down are to no avail – that's until they happen upon Patrick the Penguin and his ice-cream van.
Land & Sea
It's holiday time and Toto and Harry are looking forward to a break together. Harry can't wait to splash about in the sea, but Toto wants to stay on dry land and head for the hills. Unable to reach a compromise, they set off to their preferred destinations alone - only to realise that it's not where you go but who you're with that counts.
Quiet & Loud
Toto is about to settle down to some quiet music when there's a very loud sound coming from the other end of Opposite Town. Toto goes to investigate and finds Harry has decided to become a one hare band! After a day like that, it’s no wonder that Harry ends the show with a headache!
Empty & Full
Toto is delighted to receive a lunch invitation from Harry, but Harry has forgotten to stock up on provisions. A trip to Gillie the Giraffe's Opposite Store sees Harry's trolley full to overflowing, but when they get back to his house, the shopping bag is empty. Will Toto ever get his lunch?
Dark & Light
Harry’s going to the moon! If only he can get more shiny bits to make his spaceship go fast enough. He heads off to Toto's house where the friends have a close encounter – of the bear kind!
Sick & Well
A new theme park has opened in Opposite Town and the friends are really looking forward to it, but Harry is too sick to go, and Toto stays with him to nurse him back to health. Just as Harry gets well, Toto becomes sick and it's up to Dr Crystal the Crocodile to teach Harry that one good turn deserves another.
