³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Channels stocks up on factual and entertainment titles

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Channels has today announced a raft of new factual and entertainment acquisitions, destined for the global audiences of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Knowledge, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Lifestyle and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Entertainment.

From former newspaper editor and talent show judge Piers Morgan's latest look at the lives of the super rich, to ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One's recent remake of the classic British sitcom The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, the slate spans comedy, factual entertainment, ancient history and the arts, and includes a mix of series and compelling one-off documentaries from some of the UK's leading independent productions houses. All five titles come from ALL3MEDIA International.

John Taite, Director of Programming, EMEA at ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Channels said, "We're constantly on the lookout for high quality programming that not only fits well with the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ brand, but resonates with our international audience. These shows all travel particularly well and further illustrate the breadth and quality of programming reaching our viewers worldwide."

Set to air on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Knowledge in Africa, Poland and Scandinavia, Piers Morgan on… sees the Britain's Got Talent host visiting some of the world's most glamorous locations and offering his unique view on the likes of Monaco, Dubai and Los Angeles. Part travelogue, part expose, Morgan meets the movers and shakers in each city.

The six-part series is produced by Splash Media.

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Entertainment, meanwhile, bolsters its classic British comedy line-up the critically acclaimed Reggie Perrin, starring Martin Clunes. Written by Simon Nye, the writer behind Men Behaving Badly, and David Nobbs, the writer and creator of the original Seventies show, the six part series retells the story of a sales executive struggling to deal with modern life and its rules: the daily commute, fascinating office jargon and power-point presentations that comprise the world of male grooming products.

Made by Objective Productions, the show will air on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Entertainment across Africa.

Also new to Africa, The Undercover Princes follows the adventures of three exotic bona fide bachelor Princes – Zululand's Prince Africa Zulu, India’s Crown Prince Manvendra and His Royal Highness Prince Remigius of Jaffna, Sri Lanka – as they travel to Brighton incognito in a quest to find true love among the locals. Produced by Objective Productions and Kalel Productions, the series is set to air on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Lifestyle next spring.

Rounding out the slate are two one-off documentaries from Lion Television, Libeskind and Cleopatra: Portrait of a Killer.

One of the world’s greatest living architects, Daniel Libeskind was the original winner of New York’s World Trade Centre rebuild competition for Ground Zero. His credentials stretch to the Jewish Museum of Berlin and The Imperial War Museum North and this one-off documentary special traces the life and influences of architect, artist, philosopher, and self-confessed populist, and revisits the sites of some of his earliest memories and travels to learn how these buildings helped shape the world we live in.

The 90 minute documentary, produced by Lion Television, has been acquired for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Knowledge in Poland.

Cleopatra: Portrait of a Killer explores the legacy of the last Pharaoh of Egypt - lover, seductress and a ruler of cunning and guile. Following the discovery of a skeleton in Ephesus, 1000 miles from Cleopatra's Egypt, groundbreaking forensic investigation leads archaeologists to believe they have discovered the skeleton of Cleopatra's sister – murdered by Cleopatra and Mark Antony, unravelling a tale of incest, intrigue and sibling rivalry.

Produced by Lion Television in association with Brave New Media for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, Discovery Channel and NHK, the one-off documentary will air on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Knowledge across Africa and Poland.
