³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide has announced the appointment of Pete Marsden as Chief Technology Officer. Reporting to Chief Operating Officer Sarah Cooper, Marsden will join ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide this month and be responsible for overseeing all areas of technology development across ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide globally. He will lead the company's thinking in developing new means of connecting with millions of consumers via digital platforms around the world. He will also play a significant role in developing the company's information systems infrastructure and processes.
Pete was previously Vice President of IT & Networks at Orange. Prior to this position, he was jointly responsible for designing and launching Egg in 1998, initially a telephone banking service, and developing it into an online banking service using the very latest web technology at that time. He also worked at First Direct as a Project Leader and Systems Designer leading the company in the creation of a number of key technology systems. Pete has also worked for large multinational groups such as Lloyds TSB and Citibank in various roles including CIO, IT Director and CTO.
