Life finds a home in Korea, Japan and Vietnam as ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide, the commercial arm of the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, secures a raft of deals for natural history titles in Asia.
A natural history output deal with KBS sees the Korean broadcaster snap up a host of titles such as Life, South Pacific and All About Animals S2.
Japan's WOWOW is broadcasting Nature's Great Events, South Pacific, Yellowstone and Life on their ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Earth branded block while NHK has come on board for Alastair Fothergill's epic series Frozen Planet.
Package deals with Malaysia and Vietnam means that some of the UK's finest natural history titles will find an audience in these territories. RTM’s (Malaysia) deal includes Nature’s Great Events and Superswarms and TVM, who manage the content sourcing and programming for HTV3 in Vietnam, have licensed titles such as Life.
Joyce Yeung, SVP and GM Asia for Sales & Distribution, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide, commented: "Our broad range of natural history titles have always been very popular with Asian audiences. When you have broadcasters such as NHK committing to Frozen Planet two years ahead of its delivery date, it shows the amount of trust there is in the high quality output of the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳’s Natural History Unit and independent producers like John Downer Productions."
