Bigger and better – a new look for Radio Times

Britain's best-selling quality magazine and premium television listings guide brings in new changes under editor Ben Preston including more pages, redesigned listings and a revamp of the cover.

The magazine, whose weekly sales broke the one million barrier again in the most recent ABCs, is adding eight extra editorial pages – giving readers extra value and greater cut-through for advertisers.

Ben Preston said, "The ambition is clear: Radio Times wants to be at the heart of the national conversation and showcasing the very best writers from Rory Bremner, to John Humphrys, to Chrissy Iley, to Libby Purves."

The changes are:

  • The first weekly guide in any magazine or newspaper to the best of catch-up television and radio on iPlayer and other services
  • Expanded daily choices from RT's expert critics which combine the best of both terrestrial and digital picks – with added daily children's and sports coverage.
  • A fresh, contemporary and elegant cover design, distinguishing RT on the news-stand
  • Redesigned television listings pages showcasing the most popular channels, including Freeview, to make them easier to use
  • RT already has the most comprehensive radio listings in the market and now there’s an extra page for radio and a new regular column by Broadcaster of the Year Eddie Mair
