³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Canada and Knowledge Network announce significant programming deal

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Canada today announced a large-scale deal with public education broadcaster Knowledge Network for over 70 hours of drama, documentary, and history programming. The deal was brokered by Linda Steele, VP of Programme Sales for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Canada.

The deal includes seasons 1-4 of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ drama series Born & Bred, which follows Doctor Tom Gilder as he leaves bustling Manchester and returns to his country roots in 1950's Lancashire to take over his father’s practice. In this compelling drama, Tom's modern ideas and dynamism clash with his father's old-fashioned, tried and tested ways. Knowledge Network also acquired seasons 7-9 of long-running drama series Dalziel & Pascoe, which follows clever, no-nonsense, police officer Dalziel and his refined, cultured side-kick, Pascoe in an intriguing blend of classic murder mysteries, compelling characters and down to earth humor.

From the history genre, Knowledge Network licensed the series Henry VIII: Mind of a Tyrant, which sheds new light on the life of the infamous king, and Images of Conflict, a one-part special that looks at the work of seven war photographers - from visions of conflict in Vietnam to the current battles in Iraq. Also included in the deal are two exceptional documentaries: Fantastic Mr. Dahl, a revealing biography of the unforgettable children's fantasy writer, Roald Dahl, and Love of Money, which centers on the financial crisis of 2008 and features exclusive interviews with major players, international leaders and finance ministers.

Hilary Read, COO, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Canada, said: "Knowledge Network is an esteemed client of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide Canada and a strong supporter of our programming over the years. Their viewers are sure to enjoy these fantastic titles."
