³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide, the commercial arm of the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, today announces that Wayne Garvie is to leave ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide to take up a new role with All3Media.
Garvie joined ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide in 2006 as Managing Director, Content & Production, overseeing its content investment strategy, international production network and talent and brand ventures. Helen Jackson, Director of the Indies Unit, will lead the business on an acting basis and a permanent successor will be named in due course.
Before joining ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide, Garvie was the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳'s Head of Entertainment Group from 2001. Prior to that, he was Head of Entertainment and Features for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Manchester. He joined ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Manchester in 1998 after ten years at Granada Television.
John Smith, CEO of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide, said: "Wayne has had an exemplary career at the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, including the last four years at ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Worldwide. He goes with our gratitude for all he has done, particularly in establishing our international production base and taking fantastic shows such as Dancing With The Stars to the world. He leaves in place a very strong team to lead our Content & Production business while we search for a successor. We wish him the very best in pastures new."
Wayne Garvie said: "I have enjoyed wonderful times at the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳. I feel especially proud and privileged to have been at Worldwide these last few years, and have been inspired by the leadership and challenge given to me by John. Our Content & Production business is in excellent shape and in very safe hands. However, All3Media represents a terrific opportunity for new challenges and experiences, which I simply cannot resist."
