In a fun-filled, brain-teasing studio event, presenters Michael Aspel and Sian Williams are joined by 100 volunteers - all hoping they have improved their brain power.

Exactly one week before the show, the volunteers are tested in four key areas of brain function to find out how smart they started.

Then, for seven days, they are put through a gruelling and exhilarating brain training regime - all under the expert supervision of the Get Smarter brain coaches - handpicked from the worlds of science, education, and personal development.

The Get Smarter brain training regime is tailor-made to re-awaken volunteers' minds and sharpen their senses.
听
Then, just one week later, in front of a national TV audience, they are tested again to find out if they have got smarter.
听
Viewers at home can play along using their remote controls or via the internet with the brain-bending puzzles and ingenious exercises.
听
Not only that, but viewers can try out the regime for themselves and find out if they can Get Smarter in a Week by taking a second test, seven days after the show, on bbc.co.uk.
