The Street, Jimmy
McGovern's emotionally-powerful hit series for 成人论坛
ONE, has been recommissioned for a second series, it was announced
today.
听
The drama, which is enjoying good ratings figures for its run on Thursday nights, has been given the green light for another six episodes to air next year.
听
John Yorke, 成人论坛 Head of Independent Drama, says: "It's incredibly re-assuring that in this day and age there's still an appetite for single plays; and for voices as uncompromising as Jimmy McGovern's.
听
"The fact that The Street has found a mass audience
and touched a chord with so many people is true testament to Jimmy's

The drama is made by ITV Productions for 成人论坛 ONE.
听
The first series starring Jane Horrocks, Jim
Broadbent, Timothy Spall and Sue
Johnston was produced by Ken Horn.
听
The executive producers
are Sita
Williams (ITV Productions), Lucy Richer and John
Yorke (成人论坛).
