People with a sunny outlook get their chance to shine as weather reporters when
成人论坛 Birmingham TV and 成人论坛 Black Country TV hold auditions to find four would-be
Shefali Ozas.
听
The local TV service offers four aspiring weather presenters the chance to gain
one week's work placement each, during which the successful candidates will read
weather reports.
听
成人论坛 Local TV launch editor Chas Watkin says it is a unique opportunity for
the region's talented men and women to get a taste of life behind the camera on
live TV.
听
He says: "The successful candidates will be able to cope well in a high pressure
environment.
听
"They will be able to read and speak clearly, understand 成人论坛 local TV and have a
warm, winning personality to attract new audiences for our services."
听
The four successful candidates, chosen from the auditions held between 10.00am and
4.00pm on Friday 26 May 2006, get one week's unpaid placement with 成人论坛 local TV,
voicing weather reports as well as the region's What's On.
听
The auditions are held in the public space at 成人论坛 Birmingham Mailbox studios.
听
All candidates are asked to step in front of a camera to:
read a short weather script from an autocue; and
say in one minute why they should be the next voice of local TV.
听
Following the auditions a panel of judges, including 成人论坛 Midlands Today weather
presenter Shefali Oza, will choose the four
winners who will be notified by phone on or before Wednesday 31 May.
听
